Who are we?

Pathway Academics is a results-driven online tutoring company dedicated to helping students build confidence, develop strong learning habits, and achieve meaningful academic improvement. Our approach focuses on structured, proven learning systems that identify each student’s strengths, address gaps in understanding, and create a clear pathway for consistent progress. 

We carefully select our tutors not only for their strong academic backgrounds, but also for their ability to communicate concepts clearly, motivate students, and create a supportive learning environment. Every tutor is chosen to ensure students receive high-quality guidance from someone who is both knowledgeable and genuinely invested in their success.

At Pathway Academics, we believe parents should always feel confident that their child is progressing. That’s why we provide regular progress reports and check-ins, keeping families informed about what their child is learning, where they are improving, and what areas still require attention. This ongoing feedback ensures that both students and parents are getting the maximum value from each lesson.

Tom 

I am an experienced teacher and educational professional with over 10 years of experience tutoring and teaching mathematics. Throughout my career, I have developed a strong understanding of how students learn and the challenges they can face when building confidence in maths. I have always loved mathematics for the way it encourages logical thinking, persistence, and creative problem-solving, and I find it incredibly rewarding to support students as they begin to see problems in new ways and grow in confidence.

As a classroom teacher, I also understand how overwhelming maths can sometimes feel for students. Creating an environment where students feel supported, encouraged, and comfortable asking questions is something I value deeply. I believe that when students develop a strong understanding of mathematics, it not only improves their academic outcomes but also opens up a wide range of future opportunities.

My passion for education led me to establish Pathway Academics. One of the things that makes Pathway Academics unique is that I personally select every tutor. Drawing on my experience as a teacher, I carefully choose tutors who I know will connect well with students, communicate clearly, and genuinely care about helping them succeed. My goal is to ensure that every student who works with Pathway Academics receives thoughtful, high-quality support that helps them build both skill and confidence in mathematics.

Jacob

I am currently studying a combined Bachelor of Civil Engineering and Bachelor of Business at the University of Newcastle. Through my years of tutoring experience, I have developed a strong understanding of what makes a tutor–student relationship effective. My role is to carefully match each student with a tutor who suits their subject, learning style, and goals, while ensuring clear communication and a smooth experience for families. I am committed to maintaining a professional, reliable service so students receive high-quality support and parents feel confident throughout the process.
